The reinterpretation of Romeo and Juliet for Disney+, Rosalinepromises to be very funny, as confirmed by the new official spot and by the sympathy of the main character Kaitlyn Dever, who lends himself to the funny quiz “Shakespeare or Fakespeare” in the new promo clip.

In the cast of the film, alongside Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Kyle Allen, Sean Teale, Minnie Driver and Bradley Whitford. The film will debut on October 14 as a Hulu Original in the United States, as a Star + Original in Latin America, and as a Star Original on Disney+ in Italy.

Rosaline is a light-hearted and comedic retelling of Shakespeare’s classic love story “Romeo and Juliet,” told from the perspective of Juliet’s niece Rosaline (Kaitlyn Dever), who also happens to be a recent crush on Romeo. Heartbroken after Romeo (Kyle Allen) meets and courts Juliet (Isabela Merced), Rosaline devises a plan to sabotage the famous romance and win back her husband.

Rosaline is directed by Karen Maine from a screenplay by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, based on Rebecca Serle’s novel “When You Were Mine”. Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and Dan Levine are the producers, while Kaitlin Dever, Scott Neustadter, Michael H. Weber, Whitney Brown, Emily Morris and Becca Edelman are the executive producers.
