Filming The nun 2the new spin-off feature film in the series the incantationwith the same James Wan who posted a photo of the first take. Bonnie Aarons, who played the demonic figure in the first adaptation, returns in this film.

A few months ago, the theatrical release of The Nun 2 was announced, due out in September 2023.
The story of The Nun 2 is set in 1956 in France, where a priest is murdered and causes a new spread of evil. Non Irene will have to fight the demon Valak. The development of The Nun 2 will be the only project that will continue the universe of The Conjuring for now. Recall that last year the feature film The Conjuring – By Order of the Devil, the third chapter of the saga, was released.
The film will also star Taissa Farmiga, who already played Sister Irene. Storm Reid (The Invisible Man) will be the other protagonist. Michael Chaves, who previously directed The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, will direct the project. Akela Cooper (Malignant) will write the script, which also includes Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing. Wan will executive produce along with Peter Safran, with Gary Dauberman and Michael Clear also producing.
