This was a very successful year for the Oscars show. Obviously there have been a lot of controversies that have overshadowed a lot of positives, but I’m really happy. Before that unfortunate moment, things were going really well and we plan to come back big.

This year’s show attracted 16.6 million viewers to the ABC network in the United States, up 60% from last year. Recall that, after Will Smith’s slap to Chris Rock, the performer of A Winning Family was banned from the Academy for ten years.
