Apple has decided to introduce emulators for iPhone and iPad after the official release of iOS 17.4, a welcomed software update. Major changes to App Store policy To comply with the European Union Digital Markets Act regulations.

The first PC game emulator for iPhone and iPad in App Store history

Firstly UTM SE emulator rejected On the App Store and other alternative stores during the month of June 2024. Its developers have implemented some changes and now the first PC emulator has been approved by Apple.

When Apple denied UTM SE’s arrival on the App Store, they explained that PC games were not allowed, only retro game emulators, although most PC emulators are full of retro games.

Even so, in an X post the UTM developers announced that: Apple confirms PC emulator and it’s now available On the App Store.
