Surprisingly, CD Project RED announced via Twitter the arrival of the remake of The Witcher, the historic first chapter of the saga starring Geralt Di Rivia. This is a complete remake of the first installment of the series, developed on Unreal engine 5.

CD Project RED confirms, therefore, that the project previously codenamed Canis Majoris is nothing more than the remake of the first chapter of The Witcher series. The team has reported that the game is currently underway in the early stages of development and that the intention is to recreate the game with the utmost care and attention to detail. “The Witcher is where it all started for us all, for CD Projekt RED. It was the first game we ever made and it was a great moment for us.
