Twitter is trying to add more flair than the classic ones, sending tweets with a maximum of 280 characters, adding videos, gifs and images, polling, reacting with ‘like’, pulling back or commenting.
Among the newly added innovations is the option to reply directly to the author of a tweet.
“We make it easy to send direct messages from your timeline to start a conversation. Now, we’re testing a DM icon in Tweets on iOS with some of you.”
Another innovation is that it is now possible to watch videos at 2x, 1x, 0.5 speeds. In this case, it’s available on Android, and in the web version, you’ll have a set of different playback speeds to choose from so you can slow down or speed up videos and even audio tweets.
The other feature that researcher Jane Manchun Wong discovered is the “Leave this chat” option for people who don’t want to be duped in replies or a thread.
You can also remove the tag or username, as well as prevent someone from mentioning it in conversation in the future and prevent you from receiving notifications about the topic.
