PowerPoint has long lost its monopoly as a presentation creator. A Google presentation is free and you don’t have to worry about how to save it. How can you convert a PowerPoint presentation to Google Slides?
Upload to Google Slides
First open Google Drive in your browser and click the button there. new† Then select the option Google Slides / Blank Presentation† You use the menu in the blank presentation File / Open† window Open consists of five tabs, select the tab To upload† In this installation window, navigate to the ppt or pptx file on your hard drive. It’s even easier to drag the file into this window.
The presentation then opens in Google Slides. The name of the slide show is the name of the PowerPoint file, but you can change this name by clicking it.
Import slides
Another way is to export the PowerPoint presentation to Google Slides. The advantage of working this way is that you only have to choose the slides you really need. From the main Google Slides screen, Import Files/Slides† Tab is coming again To upload† Drag the PowerPoint file there again.
You will then be asked if you want to import all the slides or if you only need certain slides. Then select the thumbnails of the slides you want to transfer. Once you have made your selection, click on it. Import slides† The result is an anonymous file.
Open with right mouse button
Finally, you can convert a PowerPoint presentation to Google Slides by uploading the file to Google Drive and right-clicking to convert it. On the main Google Drive page, new and Select file upload† Once the file is uploaded to Google Drive, right click on it and select / Open with Google Slides†
A key difference from previous methods is that the file now opens in Google Slides while remaining a PowerPoint file. You can then save it as a Google Slide file via the menu. File / Save As†
