To help detect fire safety violations, special camera traps were installed in the forests of the Khabarovsk Territory. These devices respond to the movement of cars or people and their positions are constantly changing. This approach makes it possible to autonomously detect arsonists who are difficult to catch manually.

Currently, a state of emergency is in force, prohibiting the use of fires and burning garbage in the forests of the Khabarovsk Territory. Since the start of the fire season, 289 fires have been recorded in this area, with their spread exceeding 96.4 thousand hectares. The situation is very serious and additional measures are needed to prevent fires and protect forests.

Nikolai Gasendych, Deputy Head of the Department of Inspection and Preventive Work of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Emergencies, noted that the use of camera traps will help to detect violators more efficiently. They will be able to give those responsible what they deserve and prevent fires. Everyone must comply with the safety rules and not risk lives and natural resources.
