In the first quarter of 2023, Tesla Model Y took the lead among the best-selling cars in the world. Analyst agency JATO Dynamic has determined that this special electric car of the brand has surpassed Toyota’s popular models by ranking first in the sales ranking.
During this period, 267,000 Model Ys were sold worldwide, surpassing last year’s results by almost 70%.
This feat is particularly significant considering that Tesla vehicles cost twice as much as the second-line Toyota Corolla. This is an indication of the growing popularity of electric vehicles and consumers’ desire for eco-friendly vehicles.
Tesla managed to attract the attention of a wide audience thanks to its innovative design, high performance and range, as well as its extensive network of charging stations. Model Y, in particular, offers ample interior space and seating for up to seven passengers.
