Insider said that Apple has stopped almost the entire staff of new employees and revised budgets in the coming year.
Citing “three sources with knowledge of the situation,” the company is reported to inform employees of individual departments that it “will not be hiring new employees for several months” due to the unstable economic situation. The moratorium may last until September 2023.
In a statement to Insider, an Apple spokesperson echoed what Tim Cook had said publicly earlier:
We keep hiring [сотрудников], but given the economic environment, we are taking a very thoughtful approach to some parts of the business. We are confident in the future of Apple and are investing in the future. We are willing to make thoughtful and sensible decisions that put innovation into perspective.
