Perhaps it was an accidental hit, but the shells fell on the territory of the Allnex, Monocrystal and Click factories. Monocrystal is the world’s largest producer of artificial sapphires, which is used to manufacture glass for Apple Watch smartwatches. The plant, located in the Belgorod region, is part of a very large branched production.
It is known that the production building at the Allnex factory was damaged, and four employees suffered burns in their upper respiratory tract due to poisoning from combustion products. An electrical substation burned down in the Monocrystal region and a gas pipeline was interrupted.
