The newest remote demining machine (MDR) “Foliage” entered service with the Strategic Missile Forces formations.
The department emphasized that the “Folliage” operating principle is based on new physical principles. MDR detects mines and other explosive devices with metal elements using an induction wide-angle search module. The machine’s electronics can detect mines and landmines at a distance of up to 100 meters.
Devices equipped with electronics are cleaned by Foliage using electromagnetic radiation. The electronic components of the fuses are either out of order or undermined.
