Vasily Shpak, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that Russian enterprises managed to install import substitution of a number of important components for automobile production – electronic control units, harness products and connectors for it.
In addition, the official stated that it is partially possible to replace some sensors with imported products and combine basic radio-electronic components. According to him, with these measures it was possible to prevent the conveyors from stopping.
Shpak said that currently the production and supply of electronics for the automotive industry is mainly carried out by companies Avtokom, Avtoelectronics and Avtopribor.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that foreign manufacturers of electronic control units for the automotive industry have stopped deliveries to Russia, in violation of all contractual obligations.
