Interestingly, the addition of crossword puzzles will put the Apple News app in even more competition with the New York Times. The publication is already known for its crossword puzzles, which can be accessed in both the main NYT app and the NYT Games app.
At the same time, as with Apple News, the full NYT puzzle is available in these apps only with a paid subscription.
