Previously, Cupertinos charged $99 per year to participate in the developer beta program, while public betas were open to everyone for free.

Now that the motherboard is gone, owners of the company’s devices can easily install test builds of iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS.

Note that Apple’s $99-per-year fee program is still active, but includes other benefits such as Apple-powered code generation, app distribution in the App Store, and more.
