Sberbank will create a database of university startups with a refund of 50% of the investment amount. Private investors will be able to count on it: the payment will not exceed 20 million rubles for each funded project.
Sberbank will create a database of university start-ups in SberUnity, for investments in which it will be possible to receive redemptions. This was reported by the bank’s press service.
The amount of the refund will be 50%, it will be paid by the Skolkovo Fund. Private investors will be able to count on a refund, there are no requirements for their experience.
The maximum refund amount will be 20 million rubles for a financed project, in total no more than the amount of personal income tax paid during the three years preceding the investment.
University start-ups are companies in which at least 10% is owned by students or recent graduates of universities, employees of the scientific and pedagogical staff, the university start-up studio or the university itself. A prerequisite is the start-up income of no more than 120 million rubles a year and the age of no more than five years.
“The scientific and technological component and the prospect of creating intellectual property objects are also mandatory,” the bank said.
To enter the startup database, a company must register with SberUnity.
