Yegana Marufidi, periodontist and general manager of the Stolitsa clinic, talked about how to deal with bleeding gums. She recommended strengthening her gums by eating hard fruits and vegetables.

If bleeding gums are rare, you may have a minor gum injury. In this case, to prevent the multiplication of bacteria, you can stop the bleeding with cold water, apply chlorhexidine to the gums and rinse your mouth with an infusion of oak bark, chamomile or calendula.

If your gums bleed regularly while eating, eating solid foods, or brushing your teeth, it’s best to see your dentist. The doctor will determine the cause and make recommendations for its elimination. Sometimes ultrasonic cleaning of dental plaque is sufficient, sometimes serious treatment may be required.

It’s also good to regularly use an irrigator, use proper rinses, get tested to identify and compensate for vitamin deficiencies, and eat carrots, apples, and other hard foods, as the dentist recommends.
