Google today (27), during the Google for Brazil event Immersive Visualization for over 20 tourist attractions in the country. With the arrival of the vehicle, it will be possible to visualize places such as Itamaraty Palace (Brasília), Dragão do Mar Art Center (Fortaleza) and Culture, Maracanã (Rio de Janeiro) and São Bento in 3D and 360°. Monastery (Sao Paul).
Announced in May 2022, Immersive View uses Artificial Intelligence to blend aerial and Street View images. Then, users can see the streets, monuments and places visited by tourists in 3D.
The innovation, according to the tech giant, is that one gets familiar with a spot before going to the venue. With Immersive Visualization, it is possible to get to know the buildings and surroundings around the São Paulo Municipal Market, for example, before going there. Check out a GIF of how the feature works below:
In addition to checking buildings in 3D, Google’s technology shows information about the weather, whether the area is busy, whether there are shops, restaurants and malls nearby, whether the place is occupied, and more.
Immersive Visualization was already available in places like London, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Tokyo and is now coming to Brazil. Users can use the feature on Android and iOS phones. Check out the country sights currently on display below:
