Serpro will support inclusive projects for trans and transvestites

The Federal Data Processing Service (Serpro) was launched this Wednesday (28). public selection process for sponsorship of socio-digital inclusion projects for trans and transvestites. The publicly traded company seeks initiatives that have a positive impact on the lives of these communities.

“Agora 3T – Tecnologia para Travestis”, the first step of Serpro’s Community Investment Program, aims to promote projects based on equitable technology. Startups need to have Information Technology (IT) as a tool or an end.

“In this programme, we dare to implement the so-called affirmative action that gives more to those who need it most. Loyanne Salles, head of communications and marketing at the state-owned company, said our focus is on making an impact on society by transforming lives through socio-digital engagement and building pathways for invisible communities.

Also, according to Salles, Serpro wants to help enable positive action that changes the scenario of physical violence, prejudice and lack of opportunity for trans and transgender communities. According to him, technological tools play an important role in building a more egalitarian and respectful society.

Public selection of Serpro to sponsor trans and transvestite socio-digital inclusion projects, Applications start from July 3. Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and non-profit Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) wishing to participate will have until August 15 to register.

The selection process will consist of five phases, including an assessment based on aspects such as social impact, technical and financial viability, and compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations.
