Why didn’t I leave with a Russian account in the App Store for a year and a half. And I do not advise you

More years ago Apple strictly limited, but did not close, the possibility of using it in the Russian App Store.

During this time, Booking, Spotify, Netflix and most recently Tinder have left the store. This is just a random list, in reality, the number of disappeared applications is in the tens of thousands.

Despite this, about 9 months I usually have my iPhone 13 Pro outside of Russia, I remain on my own account and do not intend to change anything.

Three reasonsand there is one iron.

1. I’ve had enough with several accounts, that’s enough. Changing the region will cause problems

Accounts and purchases can still be exchanged with friends, but it was easier to do this 8 years ago.

At the university, my friend and I often shared our findings. So I, for example, tried a cool game Osmosis (It’s now available on Apple Arcade).

They gave a friend email and password, searched for their account in the App Store, searched under the investigator, downloaded applications and rolled everything back. To update, of course, you need a password from the account to which the program is linked, but not a problem.

Now all this also works, but I don’t want to mess with the consequences.

Many times it happened that the password from the second account went into a loop and was constantly requested. Or applications slow down and exchange data between two accounts. I’m tired of this mess and rubbish.

I have over 2000 apps in my app library

The meaning of the new account will be only if I change the region. A list of what you need to know before such a big procedure.

You need to use your entire balance. Disable all payments. Refuse family access (I have 4 people there). Find a bank card in a new region. Delete the entire iCloud library.

That is, the account setup should be practically new.

In addition, I have a subscription to all Apple services, they are frozen for 90 days. Went through this with Apple Music a couple of years ago.

And most importantly: already purchased programs are excluded.

2. Here are all the important purchases

Full-time use of Photomator and LumaFusion plus Lightroom, which is included with an Adobe subscription.

Lucky with Photomator. It started as a program for 749 rubles forever, and I caught the moment. Now it is distributed by subscription for 499 rubles a month, a huge difference. That is why they so quickly lost something in the region that can no longer be brought to the end.

For LumaFusion, I would have to pay about 2700 rubles again.

There are also great games like GTA San Andreas (our review) and Stardew Valley, I don’t want to lose them.

Many applications are assigned personal data, and you don’t want to start from scratch at all. Take the same information about nutrition in MyFitnessPal or finance in CoinKeeper 2.

Only for absolutely extreme purposes and buy again.

But there is one great dealwhich, more than any other thing, keeps me in the Russian App Store.

3. Apple One Premiere absolute top

For those who don’t know, Apple One Premiere is the full and most expensive multi-subscription plan that includes all Apple services (Music, TV+, Arcade, Fitness+ and News+ where available) plus 2 TB of cloud and family access for 6 people .

The list of countries where he works is short: only 21 pieces.

Russia, in fact, was among the lucky ones. I have a payment card in Kazakhstan, Israel and its observers in the Apple Store. But they all remained overboardAnd it is not clear whether Apple is going to launch its top-end tariff there.

Moreover, out of 21 countries, Apple One Premiere in Russia is the cheapest: 995 rubles per month versus from 1,500 rubles in Brazil to 3,200 rubles in Europe, with an average bill of 2,500 rubles for others.

Achieving Apple One Premiere on a permanent basis paid 599 rubles per month for 2 TB of memory and 169 rubles for Apple Music. Then he also got hooked on Apple Arcade for 199 rubles a month. In total, I spent 967 rubles on subscriptions.

In October 2021, Apple is offering Apple TV+ with Apple Fitness+ for just an extra $28 per month.

Apple didn’t lie 4 years ago when the hall provided the best content in the world

Kinopoisk, for example, refuses to show its series even after receiving the Plus subscription price.

Apple did not say a word that it includes content without claims, regardless of whether I am in Russia or abroad.

Unexpectedly, the only problems happened only in Apple Music.

Biggest complaint about Apple Music. There, despite access to the service in Russia, there were no releases by many Western artists.

But it’s not in Apple Music, so I had to switch to YouTube Music, which is included in my Kazakh Premium. Slow transition to this news service, and Apple Music gradually turns into a ghost with a library of songs collected over 8 years.

Will change region if Apple disables payment

Until everything is taken. I cancel the App Store through a mobile operator, it works like a clock.

Not as convenient as a card, because for any unplanned purchase you have to top up your account, but although the opportunity remains, unlike Google services.

But I continue to use the cheapest Apple One Premiere subscription in the world, have access to all the cool applications that I bought, and listen to the missing artists in music on YouTube.

The point is that, if Apple voluntarily prohibits making purchases in its digital store, it is necessary to close the annoyance deeper and change the region.

Because the level of service that the company offers in the cloud, tv+, Arcade and Fitness+ at the moment covers any inconvenience of payment.
