VKontakte’s marketing director Alexander Volodin has left the company, a representative of the social network told RB.RU. He will develop his own project together with the former CEO of VKontakte Marina Krasnova and the former technical director of the social network Alexander Tobol.
Volodin started working at VK in 2015, he was Director of Development and Partnerships in Odnoklassniki, and since 2020 he is Director of Development and Communications of the unified video platform VK. In 2021, he was appointed to the position of Marketing Director of VKontakte.
“I want to thank the whole team. <…>. During this time, we have implemented hundreds of projects, which is worth only the launch of VK NFT, which launched the development of web3 in a social network. I wish the team good luck and may it never stop! And I will join Marina Krasnova and Alexander Tobol to work on their own project, ”said Volodin, whose words are quoted by the press service.
On the eve it became known about the departure from VK of the general director of VKontakte Marina Krasnova and vice president of technology and development of VK, technical director of the social network Alexander Tobol. They said they would take on “a project of their own.” At the same time, the management of the social network was transferred to a collegiate body.
