Instagram* launched Threads, a new social network that is similar to Twitter.

Currently, Threads can only be used in browsers. The iOS and Android app will launch on July 6th.

In topics, you can write small posts, comment on them, like and repost. But all this can be done only through the application.

Several thousand testers, including journalists and bloggers, gained access to the topics. Most people (1.8 thousand) are subscribed to Mark Zuckerberg’s account.

Topics often come at a time when controversial changes are taking place on Twitter. For example, recently Elon Musk banned the undocumented population of tweets.
