In 2015, scientists discovered how there was a link between people’s empathic concerns and their attitude towards the robot. Many studies also show that those who witness aggressive behavior towards a robot experience stress.
Also, scientific research shows that humans treat robots differently than on-screen characters. This is partly because humans are biologically programmed to respond to physical movement.
In other words, people tend to treat any moving object (even an ordinary stick) as if it were alive. So as robots evolve in people’s subconscious, the line between living and real may continue to blur.
There is speculation that being cruel to robots will make humans in general even more cruel. True, this still requires proof.
