Bloomberg reports that Tesla sold more electric vehicles in the first half of this year than all of the German automakers in the group (Volkswagen AG, BMW AG, Mercedes-Benz Group AG and Porsche AG).
During this period, the company sold 889,015 electric vehicles. The high numbers have a software problem that is delaying model activations and a surge in sales in China, where Tesla and BYD were the leaders.
Over the past 3 months, Tesla electric vehicle sales have grown by 30%. This is more than VW for the same period.
