Previously, the service was only available through Microsoft products: Bing mobile app and Microsoft Edge browser.

Users accessing Bing Chat on Windows saw a popup in the Windows 10 and 11 taskbar suggesting they try Bing AI in Chrome.

Users can also navigate to Bing.com in their preferred browser and click the Chat icon to try the new feature.

However, some users complained that the chatbot in third-party browsers has more limitations than the original version. For example, Chrome only supports five messages per conversation, instead of the 30 available in Microsoft Edge.

In Edge, the character limit is 2000 instead of 3000.
