Gastroenterologist Sergey Vyalov shared information on how malnutrition can increase the risk of developing cancer on his Telegram channel. He stressed the importance of including fiber in the daily diet as it helps reduce the chances of colon, prostate and lung cancer.

The doctor explained that most of our nutrients are absorbed in the upper parts of the gastrointestinal tract, but fiber from plants remains in the intestines. That’s why it’s important to make sure we have enough fiber in our diet, which according to research helps prevent cancer.

Vyalov also warned of the risks associated with excessive consumption of fried meat without enough greens in the diet. He also emphasized that constant stress and a sedentary lifestyle can increase the likelihood of cancer.
