Apple still hasn’t fixed the problem with condensation inside AirPods Max. 404 Media reported that headphone owners are still reporting this issue on Apple, Reddit and X.

Sometimes AirPods Max turn large amounts of sweat or moisture into water droplets inside the earcups. Doing so may damage the earbuds if liquid seeps into the AirPods through the speaker openings.

Users believe that condensation is wasted due to the fact that the ear cups are made due to exposure. When the earphones fit snugly on the head, the airflow is blocked. As a result, the aluminum inside stays cooler than a person’s ears, which creates moisture, which leads to condensation.

This issue has been known since the release of AirPods Max in 2020. It does not appear for all users. Many AirPods Max owners have never experienced condensation.

However, some AirPods Max owners facing the issue have suggested filing a class action lawsuit against Apple. Negotiations on its settlement have been going on for two years.

Apple lawyers do not deny that there are changes in the formation of condensation in the headphones. But they believe that users should be more careful when using AirPods Max in certain settings.

Apple has not officially acknowledged this problem. However, in some cases, the company has replaced AirPods Max for free if they broke due to condensation. [404 Media]
