After making photo sharing available and high definition videos, WhatsApp is preparing to allow users to send media in original quality. The novelty already appears in the beta version of the messenger for Android phones.
According to this WABetaInfoeven though it was sending the photos in HD, the Meta app was still compressing the images. Now there are hints in the WhatsApp beta update for Android (2.23.18.12) that the original quality version will be released soon.
The media will be sent along with the documents. However, users will not need to search through folders and files. When you want to send original quality photos or videos, the user will still have to click on submit document and from there he will have the option to search the gallery.
When will the news be published?
While hints for this feature are already available in the current beta, people will have to wait a while to send the media in the original resolution. There is no specific date yet for the functionality to become widely available.
Those who do not want to wait that long and decide to send the media in HD can already choose the 1280 x 720p option when choosing the file. WhatsApp still maintains the default sending resolution of 848 x 480p. It is worth noting that using the highest attributes means more memory consumption.. It is also worth noting that the application allows you to send files up to 2 GB in size.
