Ministry of Meta and Justice, this Wednesday (30) Launching a system to trigger alerts about the disappearance of children in Brazil. Notifications will be sent to Facebook and Instagram users who are 100 miles from where the little boy was last seen.
Amber Alerts will appear on their social media feeds, showing details like photos and descriptions of the clothes the kids were wearing before they disappeared. Currently available in more than 30 countries, the platform was first launched here in Ceará, Federal District and Minas Gerais, and other states are promised to receive the platform in the next few months.
When users encounter an alert, they can click on it to see more details about the disappearance. Besides, The aim of the initiative is for people to contribute to investigations by providing useful information to the authorities..
According to major technology, Amber Alerts come into play in more serious cases of loss. In this sense, the status of children who are suspiciously missing or at risk of death or injury will be announced on Facebook and Instagram.

Meta said the following about performing this work: Extensive cooperation with public authorities, including the Ministry of Justice. Social media teams have been trained to use the system and ensure the best distribution of alerts.
