Paramount Global went through a process Data breach after their systems are targeted by a cyberattackWhere attackers gain access to users’ personally identifiable information.

The incident occurred between May and June 2023, as revealed in breach notification letters sent to those affected and signed by Nickelodeon Animation Studio Executive Vice President Brian Keane.

Compromised personal information may include: other government-issued identification numbers, such as names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, or passport numbersAs well as information regarding the relationship with Paramount.

to the portal BleepingComputerA Paramount spokesperson explained that the company has hired a cybersecurity expert to assist with the investigation and continues to cooperate with law enforcement. They are also reviewing and strengthening security measures so that similar incidents do not occur in the future.

According to the spokesperson, the data breach affected fewer than 100 people, but the company did not disclose whether these were employees or customers such as Paramount+ subscribers.
