At the instruction of the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), exercises were carried out in imitation of a tactical nuclear attack. The operation was carried out by a unit equipped with strategic cruise missiles located in the western region of the country.
The exercises included verifying the accuracy of nuclear strike orders, testing the rapid functioning of launch coordination systems, and launching two long-range strategic cruise missiles with decoy nuclear warheads. The missiles followed a certain trajectory and detonated the warheads at a certain height above the target island.
