Attackers are increasingly using modified drones to sneak into prison areas and deliver prohibited items. This was announced by Vladimir Kleshnin of Kaspersky Antidrone at Kaspersky Lab.

They use these modified quadcopters to deliver various illegal items such as phones, drugs and money to the prison. Incidents like this are increasing.

Drone modification may involve software and hardware changes, particularly in terms of the radio channel through which commands from the operator are transmitted. This reduces the noise and interference of drones, making them less visible on broadcast waves.
