One of the distinguishing features of the Oppo A2 Pro is the promised long battery life. Oppo claims that the 5,000mAh battery will comfortably retain at least 80% of its original capacity for four years after purchase. If the battery capacity drops below this threshold during this period, Oppo will provide a free battery replacement.

In testing, the Oppo’s battery retained 88% of its original capacity after 1,000 charging cycles; This is equivalent to four years of daily charging. The device supports 67W wired charging and is equipped with a special chip to protect the battery from overheating and overcharging.

A2 Pro has up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. As for the camera, it comes with a 64MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The device runs ColorOS 13.1 on top of Android 13 and has an IP54 water and dust resistance rating and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Oppo A2 Pro is available in Wide Black, Desert Brown and Twilight colours. Prices start at CNY 1,799 ($248) for the 8GB/128GB storage model and rise to CNY 2,399 ($330) for the 12GB/512GB storage model.

Sales in China are scheduled to start on September 22.
