This isn’t the first time rumors about a Samsung smart ring have surfaced. At the beginning of this year, Samsung applied for a patent for the Galaxy Ring, describing it as a device that measures health and sleep data. This fits with Samsung’s recent collaboration with Natural Cycles on menstrual tracking based on body temperature data, a possible application for the smart ring.
Evidence supporting the existence of the Galaxy Ring was also found in the Galaxy Wearable app code, including descriptions of Bluetooth connectivity.
Samsung’s smart ring could compete in a market currently dominated by the Oura Ring.
