Baranov explained that the approach to bases, ports and similar infrastructure facilities by sea is protected by boom nets. Torpedoes, which resemble unmanned vehicles, have long been used in submarine warfare, and anti-torpedo defense systems are also known and continue to be developed to take into account new threats. Although other countermeasures are technically possible, Baranov said these options are currently classified and this makes sense given their importance.
