The Russian market needs 100,000 IT specialists every month. This is 20% more than last year. In September, the number of active resumes of applicants for this specialization on hh.ru approached almost 0.5 million, while per vacancy there are six resumes of applicants, Prime reports citing RIA Novosti.
The director of EvApps, Alfred Stolyarov, believes that saturation of the IT market is expected in 3-5 years, when young staff gain experience and can solve the entire range of existing problems.
- In August 2023, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, estimated the personnel shortage in the Russian IT industry at between 500,000 and 700,000 people. In total, 740 thousand people work in this field in Russia, while the number of employees in IT companies is growing by 13% in 2022.
- By 2030, the volume of the IT market will more than double: it will reach 7 trillion rubles. The proportion of developers in various segments will increase from 50% to 90%. The software and IT services sector developed faster than other segments: its average annual growth rate in 2019-2022 was 19.4%.
