After learning about its design and some of its features thanks to leaked promotional images, Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra have resurfaced online, revealing all the details about their cameras, including the number of sensors, telephoto range and front camera resolution.
It was an Italian portal Technoblog who disclosed the said information along with other AI functions Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Let’s focus first on the cameras, as there are interesting developments and some disappointments.
Specifically, Samsung will keep almost the same configuration in the Galaxy S25 Plus as it did in the Galaxy S24 Plus. Thus, the model announced on January 22 will go on sale from Main sensor 50 megapixels which will be able to take photographs with a 2x optical high-quality zoom. Be careful, this does not mean that this camera has optical range, but rather that zooming in will give results similar to what we achieve with a telephoto lens.
This main sensor will be accompanied by 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Samsung refuses to change the resolution for some reason. This does not happen in telephoto lenswhich remains at 10 megapixels and allows you to take photos with 3x optical zoom. The front camera, in turn, has a resolution of 12 megapixels.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a completely different camera setup than the Plus model. But, again, in many ways similar to its predecessor. We find Main sensor 200 megapixels which will allow you to take pictures using 2x optical zoom, as well as a second ultra-wide-angle camera of 50 megapixels.
The S25 Ultra will also have dual telephoto lens. On the one hand, there is a 10-megapixel camera, which will allow you to take photos with 3x zoom. On the other hand, there is a 50-megapixel camera with 5x optical zoom and 10x high-quality optical zoom. While the leaked images don’t indicate it, it’s likely that the terminal also allows for image capture at up to 100x magnification.
Beyond the camera, leaks from the aforementioned media outlets have revealed new AI features, such as one that will allow Gemini “talk” to Galaxy apps S25, so that, for example, you can write notes in the Samsung Notes application. On the AI front, there will also be a daily summary mode with personalized recommendations.
The Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra will be announced on January 22, alongside the Galaxy S25, which will have slightly lower specs. And, probably, also with a Slim version, which may go on sale later.
