Yandex has added a new Key tool to the Yandex app with Alice. Now you have a convenient way to quickly and securely log in to your Yandex ID.
“Yandex Key” creates unique one-time passwords for your “Yandex ID”, which are used in services such as “Yandex Taxi”, “Yandex Food”, “Yandex Mail”, “Yandex Disk”, “Yandex Kinopoisk”, “Yandex Music” ” and others. To log in using the “key” you only need to copy the temporary password or scan the QR code.
Using the “Key”, you can log in to your account with a one-time password or a combination of permanent and one-time passwords, depending on your account settings. Please note that this tool can only be used on your own mobile device.
The “Key” also provides secure access not only to Yandex, but also to all other services that support two-factor authentication using the RFC TOTP algorithm, including social networks and email services.
You can find the “Key” in the settings of the Yandex with Alice application by clicking on the avatar on the home page of the application.
