German Klimenko, chairman of the board of directors of the Digital Economy Development Fund, says that the digital passport that will be available soon will be more reliable than the normal paper passport. The Ministry of Digital Development has developed rules for the use of digital passports, and the electronic version will be represented by a QR code and a photo of the citizen. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the digital passport, which allows the use of documents in electronic form through the Gosuslugi portal.

Klimenko claims that stealing a paper passport is much easier than stealing a QR code. QR codes have a lot of security technology and it takes a large amount of effort for a thief to access them. Klimenko believes that the idea of \u200b\u200bhacking the State Services and stealing the QR code still seems fantastic and practically unfeasible.

Thus, the digital passport provides additional protection and security, becoming a reliable and modern way to identify citizens.
