For repeated refusal, the fine amounted to 6 million rubles; For the first time, the court limited the amount to 1.5 million rubles. Israeli online service MyHeritage has received a second fine for refusing to locate Russian users’ data. This was reported in reference to the judge’s sentence on the Telegram channel of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.
“[…] An administrative fine of 6 million rubles was imposed for committing an administrative offense under Part 9 of Art. 13.11 Code of Administrative Offenses,” the message says.
The fine of 6 million rubles is the minimum for this type of legal entity according to this article. The maximum amount for this crime is 18 million rubles.
The MyHeritage service received its first fine for refusing to locate the data of Russians on January 17, 2022. Then the fine amounted to 1.5 million rubles.
