Apple has given Russian developers the opportunity to integrate payment methods with third-party systems into their applications. However, the corporation will charge a 27% commission for purchases using external payment methods.
A message from the American company, cited by iPhones.ru, explains that this step is related to a court decision. At the beginning of the year, the Federal Antimonopoly Service fined Apple 1.1 billion rubles. The service discovered that the company was forcing Russian developers to use its payment system.
App authors will now be able to add links to third-party payment systems to their products. To do this, you must use the StoreKit External Purchase Link Rights API for iOS and iPadOS.
Apple emphasized that the changes apply only to developers in the Russian Federation. Links will not appear in other countries.
Purchases in Russian apps using third-party payment methods will be charged 27%. The standard commission on the App Store is 30%.
