Ozon and the Snow Queen chain could start selling Mongolian cashmere after the abolition of tariffs, said Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko, quoted by RIA Novosti. Previously, Russia allowed Mongolia to supply some products to the country without logistical barriers.
This is the Gobi brand, the Russian side visited a factory for the production of finished cashmere products. Based on the results of the visit, it was decided to prepare a road map.
Ozon has already shown interest in commercializing these products, Abramchenko said. The Snow Queen chain of stores also demonstrated its willingness to participate in the project.
At the end of last year, trade turnover between the countries increased by 42% and amounted to 2.6 billion dollars.
In 2023, retailer Fix Price entered the Mongolian market.
