Yandex Maps and Navigator have received an updated map for drivers. iPhones.ru reported this.
On the new generation map, the roads are the same as in the first city: with markings, parking spaces and traffic islands. New changes help you better navigate difficult junctions.
Now updated maps are available in Moscow within the Third Transport Ring, on the Moscow Ring Road and major highways. The central areas and main highways of Ufa, the centers of St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod are also marked in detail.
The new design works with CarPlay and Android Auto.
To create a detailed map, we used a panorama reprojection tool. It overlays fresh panoramas on satellite images taking into account perspective, resulting in an up-to-date image of the road and an automated map detailing process. As a result, we digitized more than 6,000 km of roads and applied 140 different types of markings on them.

The company plans to add more updated roads in Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as in large cities, in the near future. The future map will be even more detailed: all buildings, tunnels, stops, entrances to underground passages, trees and other objects will be shown in detail.
