The Journal app offers users a new way to document and preserve life’s moments and memories with on-device processing and privacy features. Although some lines of code hint that iPad and Mac versions are in development, these appear to be experimental and there is no mention of the app on the iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma web pages.

While these versions are unlikely to be ready for iPadOS 17.2 and macOS 14.2, Apple is expected to hold them back for iPadOS 18 and macOS 15.

iOS 17.2 also brings new features and other improvements for Apple Music subscribers, and is expected to be generally available by the end of the year.
