HE Spotify wrapped up (Spotify Retrospective) is one of the most loved features by users of the streaming platform, but it is only available at the end of the year. Perhaps this is why University of California student Darren Huang developed the website”Spotify Pie Chart“, what It offers a pie chart with all the artists and songs most listened to by users.
The free site works kind of like Spotify Wrapped, but it’s a little simpler. Basically, the tool will collect data from all the songs played on a user’s account and generate a chart based on the information.
The site argues that it’s possible to build charts based on monthly updates of a Spotify account, proving a big difference from the Spotify Retrospective, which was only offered during the year-end.
The chart will show details on top genres and artists over the course of a month, with each color on the chart identifying a genre of music. Artists will be listed next to the draft and favorites will be shown in bold at the top of the list.
How to use Spotify Pie Chart
- To view your custom chart, go to the Spotify Pie Chart website and log in using your streaming service account;
- Then click “Accept” to allow access to your music data;
- Ready, the chart will display the most listened genres and a list of the most wanted artists.
