The twelfth package of sanctions against Russia will be presented on November 15 at a meeting of the European Commission. Its volume is estimated at $5.3 billion and includes the ban on diamond imports and the tightening of the maximum oil price. Once the package is presented to the European Commission, it will have to be approved by the Council of Europe.
The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, announced the presentation of the next package of European sanctions against Russia. The twelfth sanctions package will be presented at a meeting of the European Commission on November 15, after which it will go to the Council of Europe for approval.
According to Borrell, the new restrictions include a ban on diamond imports, a tightening of the maximum price of Russian oil, as well as measures to prevent circumvention of anti-Russian sanctions.
Bloomberg estimates the monetary volume of the new sanctions against Russia at $5.3 billion and, according to the agency, the package may also include a ban on exporting to Russia technologies and equipment used for military purposes.
