This achievement is seen as a significant step towards achieving the company’s ultimate goal of creating AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), a neural network with human-level intelligence.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told the Financial Times that the team is actively working on the GPT-5 neural network, believing it has significant potential.

The company is currently seeking additional investment from Microsoft to support this project. The funds received will be used not only to support the development of GPT-5, but also to create AGI.

The company’s new language model promises to be more advanced than the current GPT-4. Although specific areas where GPT-5 will excel have not yet been revealed, developers acknowledge that training the new AI requires significantly more resources and data than its predecessors.

OpenAI plans to collect these resources both from open sources and from the databases of private companies that want to take part in the development of the project. As part of the joint program, companies can provide unique datasets to OpenAI.
