The investors of the fintech platform Apibank abandoned the project and the company came under management control, RB.RU learned. The project maintains development plans.

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Digital Banking Platforms LLC (DBP), a legal entity of Apibank, came under the control of the project founder Alexey Petrov as of October 20, 2023.

Digital Native Ventures LLC (formerly Digital Horizon Ventures LLC) and Digital Native LLC (formerly Digital Horizon LLC), which owned 79.2% and 0.79%, respectively, exited Apibank in October. Petrov’s stake in TsBP LLC increased from 20.01% to 100%.

“Apibank management has completed the process of purchasing shareholders from investors. All development plans are maintained and will be implemented with new impetus,” Alexey Petrov, founder of Apibank, told RB.RU.

He did not specify the amount of the agreement or the company’s next steps.

CEO of Digital Native (owner of Digital Native Ventures and Digital Native), Polina Flink, told RB.RU that the deal closed in the fall of 2023: “Apibank is one of the first portfolio companies of the business creator Digital Native. The deal was planned and we closed in the fall of 2023. We cannot disclose the amount and other terms of the transaction.”

  • Apibank was created in 2018 by the co-founder of the online accounting company “My Business”, Alexey Petrov, with the support of the business builder Digital Horizon. It is an open banking platform that works with financial technology companies and service providers, incorporating financial services from partner banks that use Open API technologies. The project is also developing the “My Autonomous” platform, which automates the interaction of clients with artists.
  • In December 2020, Apibank raised 120 million rubles from the Russian-Belarusian Venture Investment Fund (the fund’s investors are the Belarusian Innovation Fund, RVC and RVC Infrafund). Rvk Infrastructure Investments LLC owned 0.01% of Apibank as of June 7, 2022.
