But it seems that not everyone is happy with this explanation, especially Disney Pixar.

Does Disney censor Disney-Pixar style images?

Microsoft modified its AI image creation tool after Disney accused the appearance of its logo in some AI creations using Image Creator, suggesting copyright or intellectual property infringement.

After concerns were raised, typing the term “Disney” into the image generator was blocked and users were shown a screen telling them that the message and search terms used to control the AI ​​were against their policy.

The tool has since been adjusted to allow the use of the term Disney, but the text and logo in AI-generated images still look like the original images. They are a messy but recognizably similar version of the real logo, but with, for example, misspellings or blurry fonts.

“Reproducing the Disney logo is a clear trademark violation. I think that’s why AI can confuse the logo,” said Andrew White, a partner at intellectual property law firm Mathys & Squire.

He added that there is an “unresolved question” about whether the AI ​​models were trained on Disney content and whether it reproduces copyrighted material.
