The largest electronics chain, DNS, aims to obtain more than 60% of its income until 2027 from the sales of its own brands. At the end of 2022 it amounted to 597 billion rubles. The company will also reward employees for promoting its brands.

Russian retailer DNS plans to increase its private label line by 2027

Given this decision, some of the retailer’s partners have already begun to reduce their presence in the chain’s stores. Betting on one’s own brands can be successful, since due to the departure of popular brands, consumers are increasingly turning to new brands, writes Kommersant.

In 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Trade prepared the project “Fundamentals of state policy of the Russian Federation in the field of development of the electronics industry until 2030 and beyond”, in which the impossibility of providing the market with of the necessary products and the delay of national microelectronics of 10 to 15 years with respect to the world level.
